"There are quite a few colors of Paerchers. If you wish, I will explain a bit about the most common of them." |

Rubies are the most common of males, and the smallest. This is an example, but please remember that all colors can appear in any shade or tint of that color, although usually the plumage colors (flaps of skin at the head and tail, not to be confused with manes) are lighter than the rest of the body. |
Bronzes are the middle class of males, in quantitity and size, although some Bronzes have grown to the size of Golds. These usually will run Amethysts or Sapphires, and will run an Emerald if they can manage it. |

Golds are the most powerful, and rarest, of the males. They are usually the sandleaders, (Paercher groups are called sands; a sandleader is the head male) and are also the main Emerald mates. |
Emeralds are the rarest and most fertile of females. They are usually called Queens in both organized towers and sands. Although females will have mating runs, Queens tend to run more often than the other colors. This is not to say that Queens cannot choose mates. |

Sapphires are the brains of the Paerchers. Due to this intelligence, they are likely to choose mates, and are the lowest female color to have mating runs. |
Amethysts are the lowest of the Female colors. Due to their small size and amourousness, they tend to let Rubies and Bronzes pick them for mates, not the other way around. Because of this, they are sometimes considered the prostitutes of the Pearchers, yet never as a derogetory term. Fortunately for the caretakers, Amethysts are sterile. |

Opals are a rarity among the Paerchers, but about the same size as Rubies, sometimes smaller. They will usually tend to mate with Onyxes, but if none are around, will not mate at all. Opals and Onyxes can have intelligence and even sentinence beyond the Sapphire's capabilities. |
Onyxes are the female version of Opals. These darker Paerchers are just about as rare as Opals, and about the same size. Unlike Opals, these Pearchers do not find attractiveness towards just them, and will tend to lure other colors of males, including Golds. |

:"If in one of these clutches another color happens to appear that cannot be classified under any of these, such as a brown (Jasper?), it will be added." Usaga concludes. |
