| Jekkal takes you over to a crater that rears over the
plains of Kiosko. You notice there are multiple golden perches along the rim. "Look down." Jekkal says. You see the crater lined in gold, with golden staues of eight Semites. You notice that all five types of Semites are in there, and a few more. "Those are the actual bodies of the eight members of the royal family, turned to gold by the mountain gold's abilities. My grandfather is one of those statues. And one day, I will be one of them as well." "That's an eerie thought." You say.
"Of course not." You answer. "What does it say?" "Rainbow Birds— Free to good home with kind people." Jekkal translates literally. "We generally call them Labetan Birds to travelers; they prefer it over literal translations, I think. And it is easier for us as well." Jekkal pauses. "There's one now!" |
