The Feline Beach, cont.
True
to Jekkal's word, across the hill sit six more hunter cats from the EverRealm. A black cat with multi'colored feathery wings leaps for you.
"Down, Aur'alis!" Jekkal hisses. "What did I tell you about jumping on visitors?" The cat sits there, looking up at the two of you, smiling sweetly. It can't answer Jekkal, of course, but the look on its face says it all; either Aur'alis didn't learn the first time around, or he did learn but doesn't care. "I don't know why I bother to tell these cats anything . . . I know the Egyptians worshipped cats, and there are plenty of people in this world who talk to their pets, but I never understood them. What's the point of talking to a pet that can't talk back?" Jekkal blinks. "Wait, don't answer that; we'll lose track of time."
Two hunter cats with odd wings run towards you. They look to be dragonfly wings, or faerie wings perhaps. Whatever they are, they look odd enough that the rest of the cat is tame in comparison and for a hunter cat, that says plenty. "So you've found Fae'ark and Aqua'ing. Cute little things, aren't they?"
Jekkal smirks, pointing to a stone archway, where the interior of it is pitch black. "Ready to go to Blodeuyn's Temple?"
