| Sha'karet swims over to a small gulley in the reef,
where what looks like kelp is moving down there. Then it surfaces, and the kelp is not
kelp at all. It's Tekra'palo! She stretches a bit.
"A mutation?" you ask the new squall. "Yes. It's in my eyes: Normal eyes for my type of head are brown, like Sha'karet's." "Actually, I meant your skin. And the fact you have no shell." You say, and then are promptly slapped off Sha'karet's shell., and into the water. You catch your breath as you cling onto the shell's brim. "There is nothing unusual about me other than my eyes! Only turtle-bodied Tarasque have shells, and my skin is reptilan, which explains why I don't have white or orange skin like Sha'karet and Talai. A prompt look at the Warm Sands Clan would set you straight. There's four types of animals in the Tarasque species... we identify them when we find the rare purebreds. that's when the appearance of a Tarasque is all of one type of animal. Here are the four identified types. This is a guide to tell you just what type of a trait each part is: Turtle shelled bodies, flippers, small tail, curved beak head, no ears, closed red eyes, no whiskers, reptilian coloration in dark green and gradient green/red. Tiger bulky bodies, thick limbs, long, skinny tail, wide feline head, ears, open brown eyes, side whiskers, feline coloration in orange and white. Leopard lean bodies, skinny limbs, long, thick tail, small feline head, ears, open dark brown eyes, muzzle whiskers, feline coloration in khaki. Snake tubular bodies, no limbs, long, tapered tail, rounded beak head, no ears, round gold eyes, no whiskers, reptilian coloration in green and black. |
