Time has passed.
The Dragon Worlds have sustained a change. A large change? I can't tell you. Difference can only be percieved in the eye of the beholder...
This is the Jubilee Year of the Dragon Worlds. The last Jubilee Year was during the brief reign of the Gnorcs.
That was fifty years ago.
This is now.
There is an unworn crown sitting on a hill. The hill is in an empty field. The field is littered with flame-kissed grass and lilies, an empty, scorched archway, and broken platforms. I am here, on a platform with a broken bridge, glancing at the remains of the Artisan lands.
I am the only one here. Even the fairies have left.
I can explain the crown to you. You see, this
section is part of a kingdom. And a kingdom must kave a king. What would it be called
otherwise? A dom? In any case, every Jubilee Year, the former king hands his title over to
the new king. The new King is almost never the former's child. It's a matter of what you
do, not what you're borne to do, that decides who the new king is.
Today was supposed to be the coronation ceremony for the new king. Disaster struck.
Something happened. I'm not sure exactly what... maybe male faeries. I think. I'm not sure what I saw... it had to be a hallucination... this can't be happening...
The fairies spread out, blending into the background... there was one fairie that was holding a clear crystal. He hid unnaturally close to the new king.
Suddenly... panic erupted. The crystal-holding fairie was standing in the king's place. No one knew where he'd went. the crowd began to struggle into a stampede... I lost consciousness at that point. All I could remember were the screams... the fire from retaliating adults... the glancing blow that overtook me...
Now I am the only one left. Have the other youths ran for shelter? Did the fairies overlook me when they began their attack? Would it even matter?
My name is Djari. A few minutes before the attack, I would have been a princess.
You do not know me? Well, then, allow me to help your memory. Maybe you knew my father:
Spyro.
