This is just a collection of things you might be interested in. As more stuff shows up, it'll end up here if it can't go anywhere else. Enjoy!
Have you ever stumbled along the worlds, maybe through Summer Forest or Winter Tundra, and just notice a word jump out at you?
It did. We have documantation from Insomniac that a few secret words and images were sneaked into the artwork. Now, since this is Insomniac and not Disney, there was nothing pornographic involved. So all you overprotective parents can calm down and not worry about Spyro 2 'ruining' your kids. Actually, the stuff was pretty innocent. Here, for all to read and test for themselves, is a letter from Craig A. Stitt, one of the graphic makers for Spyro 2.
The letter was in response to a question I had when I had first noticed the trend for myself namely, when I saw Brenda in Matura MT Script Capitals on the doors of Winter Tundra.
Actually, your question about 'Brenda' is a great question, and you are the first to ask it.
Here's the whole story behind the name: Besides answering the mail around here, my primary job is creating the 2D and 3D art that makes up the Spyro worlds. While painting the textures for the castle walls in Summer Forest, I decided that it would be fun to 'carve' my son's name into the wall. So, if you look very carefully at the white castle walls in Summer Forest, you will see that the scroll work actually spells out 'BRYAN'.
Well, someone finally noticed the name at work, and the word spread quickly. Then one day our lead animator came to ask me a favor. He has a son named Bryan as well, but he also has a daughter named, you guessed it, Brenda. He said he wondered if I could sneak 'Brenda' into the art somewhere so he could show his kids their names.
At the time I was then working on the art for WinterTundra, and the doors seemed like perfect place to have a little fun. So there's the long answer to your question.
The only other really 'in' thing is that in MysticMarsh, there is a coin that you have to find then spit into the fountain. If you look very carefully there is a definate face on the coin. That would be Dan, one of the artists here. I am not quite sure why his face is on the coin, other than the fact that he gets teased a lot around here.
Well, now it's back to finishing up Spyro 3!!

I had also found the face on the coin prior to this response, but not 'Bryan'. Well, just goes to show what a good eye can do...
BTW, Thank Jalal for getting the three screenshots of this phenomenon!
Follow-up: Someone claims to have found Dan again this time on the 'Wanted' posters at Dino Mines. If someone else could get a screenshot of this latest incident to prove it to me, I can promise a reward for turning THAT desperado in...
Also, there is a 'B' on the ship detail in Lost Fleet. Wonder which one they did it for THIS time...
