"Now what's this place?" You think aloud in amusement.

"This is Tevi." Jekkal says, swooping down for a closer view. "The island is literally nothing but trees. The land is below the surface, but the trees just crop out. The Tanek don't seem to mind, though."

"Lemme guess — That's the sentinent species here. But what kind of a race lives in trees?"

"our race, that's what kind!" A little voice hollers. A tiny lizard appears onto the twig in front of you, so you get a good look.

"Kinda small, ain't he?" You say to Jekkal.

"i'm not small! i'm huge! monstrous! i'm — oh what the hey. size doesn't matter here. we're the only thing on this wide grove except for bugs, and we smart enough to talk and build nests, therefore we're the sentinent."

You swing off the island, looking around for more Tanek.
