What is the goal of Operation Thank You?
The goal is to send to Insomniac Games via Ted Price, the president of the company, a thank-you note from its online fans. We are aiming to send the note sometime between 12:00 - 6:00 AM on Dec. 25, with 1,000 or more signatures.
What is the note?
It's the image to the side. The actual note will be a page with this Graphic at the top, and all of your names/notes below that, divided up into groups of 20 for easy reading.
Will I be able to see the note?
Yes. Starting Dec. 25, There will be a link from the index page leading to the thank you note. On Jan. 1, the page will be archived for viewing. Prior to Dec. 25, the page will not be viewable.
Is anything going to happen if the note gets 1,000 signatures?
Yes. I will faint.
Seriously, dealing with 1,000 signatures by hand will be very exhausting. However, I will be VERY impressed with all of you and your effort if I get 1,000 signatures. I will be happy with 100 signatures, although if I know internet apathy the way I think I do, I'll be lucky to get 10.
How do I sign?
There should be a note from me in Dragon Arena. Reply to that note with your name and message.
What should be in the message?
Anything you want there to be, as long as I deem it fit. As a general rule, no images should be in your message, and the message should have no higher than a PG-13 rating. Also, please do not ask for cheat codes, game hints, and the like.
Sounds Limiting.
Not really. We can't have images because that would slow down loading time, and the PG-13 rating is actually a pretty free one. Cheat codes and game hints should be targeted for SpyroHints.com, and not these guys. As I said before, I have the final say on messages, so I will deal with this on a case by case basis.
I just signed the note. How will I find my signature when the note is sent?
The note will not have search capability. However, signatures will be numbered. If you wish, you can right click on the page to go to 'View Source' to use Notepad's search capability, and then find out where on the page you are.
