As you enter into Kera rift, A creature heads toward you. She stands there, and eyes you carefully.

I assume another human? She says to Jekkal.

"What else?" Jekkal replies.

"What was that about?" You whisper. The thing inevitably heard your whisper, and nudges you. 

If you must know, My name is Jaxix, and I am a fluke creature. I used to help out at Mirage Isle,but DF said that Jekkal wanted me to help out around here, and I did. It's my job to ascertain if the visitors can see some of the animals that inhabit here. Differing climates can be uncomfortable for some species, and a few are downright dangerous.

"I can see them though, can't I?" You say with a quiver.
